Buying in Queenstown

Tasmania’s Queenstown is booming once again.

Grab yourself a slice of the local real estate market for $80,000 and whilst you are at it explore the town that outshone all other towns around the country to be crowned as Australia’s Top Small Tourism Town.

Queenstown’s rich heritage, spirited arts precinct, famed Wilderness train ride and its unique streetscapes are just some of its drawcards, but it is the breathtaking views and hostile beauty that really set this town apart from others.

Although the West Coast of Tassie has offered some of the country’s most budget-friendly real estate buys in past years, Queenstown is now emerging as an up-and-coming destination to relocate to.

August data from PropTrack showed that Queenstown’s property values have rocketed up by 207% over the past 10 years, propelling it into the ranks of Australia’s top 5 regional areas.

Queenstown is a 3hr + a little bit (243km) from Launceston, a 2hr 30min drive (197km) from Devonport, and a 3hr 30min hour drive (260km) from Hobart.
